In addition to a new sun shade in the actual garden, this year we have a calendar to help guide your gardening activities with students. You can download it from here or find it posted in the garden.

Books are on the way, too. The garden committee has purchased some books recommended for elementary school gardeners by educators at the Poughkeepsie Farm Project. These books were presented at this year’s City Growers Education Conference. These include several illustrated multicultural stories and poems, such as Charlotte and the Quiet Place, Salsa, Rainbow Stew, Gathering the Sun, and We Came to America. Stay tuned for information on where to find the books.
