New Movie about Autism: Jack of the Red Hearts

jack-of-the-red-heartsJACK OF THE RED HEARTS was written and directed by Janet Grillo, mother of an autistic son and friend of a Children’s School parent. In this film, a streetwise teen, a casualty of the flawed foster care system, cons her way into a job by posing as an experienced caregiver for a family with an autistic child. At first in over her head, she ends up connecting with her new life in a way she never expected. Just as she’s found redemption, her deceitful past catches up with her and she’s forced to come to terms with who she really is. The film will open in limited theatrical release, in 25 cities nationwide, for one week. HOWEVER, if people show up opening weekend, there’s a chance the run will be extended.

SCREENING WITH THE FILMMAKER: SUNDAY 2/28 at 4:40 pm AMC Empire 25 Theater in Times Square
