There’s three weeks until school starts on Thursday, September 5. We’re hopeful staff, students and parents can enjoy the tail end of summer, but know that the thought of a new school year is never far away. So before we unplug, here’s some key dates and info we thought might help.

Before School Starts

  • Thursday, Aug. 29, Adelphi Site Playground Playdate – Come meet up with new and old Adelphi families at the Dean Street playground at 3:30 pm
  • Wednesday, Sept. 4, JJ Bryne Park by the Old Stone House – Come meet up with new and old Carroll Street Families at the picnic tables, starting at 2 pm
  • Last week of August: If your child receives door-to-door bussing service, routes will start to be posted around Labor Day. Check your NYCSA account for the information, and remember, the school doesn’t control the routes, but can help you navigate the Office of Pupil Transportation, which does.
