The Speech Department is planning our first parent workshop for new parents on Thursday, November 3, from 9-11. The focus is on how to communicate with non verbal children by using pictures. We are doing an overview of the Picture Exchange Communication System or PECS and showing videos of their children using PECS.
As Progress Reports are sent home, questions may arise about tutoring resources. Classroom teachers are not able to personally recommend any particular tutor or service but families can share resources with each other.
