Dear Parents,

February break is fast approaching!

For a limited time only, The New York International Children’s Film Festival (NYICFF) is offering partner schools discounted rates for their production workshops held during our February break! As a 2011 NYICFF partner school, our students are eligible for this discount and great opportunity!

Register by January 15, 2011 for any of NYICFF’s February production workshops and receive $50 off when you use the discount code SCH2011.

NYICFF film production workshops are offered for the full break! Workshops are one-week, full-day classes in animation, clay-animation, stop-motion, and film criticism and analysis. Class sizes are limited and are expected to sell out quickly.

During the Feb 21-25, 2011 Winter Break, children and youth ages 6-16 will have a chance to be on the other side of the camera, learn from the experts, and make their visions come to life on the big screen! Students will conceive, storyboard, write, shoot, draw, model, create sets, and act to create a completed short film, in collaboration with award-winning filmmakers. Student films will be shown at the 2011 festival!

Don’t just come and watch the films in this year’s festival, make one!
