Dear Parents:
It is with great pleasure that I introduce our new Assistant Principal of Special Education. Bridget Nash who comes to us from a district 75 school right here in Brooklyn.
Bridget’s most recent work was as an Instructional Coach and Unit Coordinator at her former school, which gives her the experience and knowledge that we at TCS need. She has worked both in and out of the classroom and has skills and knowledge of curriculum, both Standard and Alternate, differentiation and enrichment of curriculum, and has facilitated Professional Developments for teachers and paraprofessionals.
Cathy and I have begun to introduce Bridget this past week and look forward to her meeting as many people as possible during these last seven days of the school year. While we have taken the opportunity to begin introductions, we look forward to her meeting as many students and parents possible. We are planning a more formalized meeting in September 2016, where parents will be introduced to Ms. Bridget during the first PTA meeting. Ms. Bridget is now beginning to meet the students as she walks through the building and into the classrooms introducing herself and answering questions our students may have.
The C-30 process governed by Chancellor Farina’s Regulations allows schools to post available leadership positions and interview prospective candidates with a committee of parents, teachers, school leaders, including Cathy Sarno our current Assistant Principal and a District 75 representative. I’d like to thank the parents and school staff that assisted with this important process by volunteering their personal time to interview candidates.
Please give Ms. Bridget a warm welcome as you see her walking the hallways and participating in many of the end of the year events happening.
We are looking forward to an amazing 2016-2017 school year.

Queridos padres:
Es con gran placer que le presento a nuestro nuevo Subdirector de educación especial. Bridget Nash que viene de una escuela del distrito 75 aquí en Brooklyn.
Trabajo más reciente de Bridget era como una instrucción del entrenador y Coordinador de la unidad en su antiguo colegio, que le da la experiencia y el conocimiento que necesitamos en el TCS. Ha trabajado tanto dentro como fuera del aula y tiene habilidades y conocimientos del currículum, estándar y alternativo, diferenciación y enriquecimiento del currículo y ha facilitado el desarrollo profesional para los maestros y paraprofesionales.
Cathy y yo hemos empezado a introducir a Bridget la semana pasada y esperamos que su reunión a tantas personas como sea posible durante estos últimos siete días del año escolar. Si bien hemos aprovechado la ocasión para iniciar presentaciones, esperamos su reunión como muchos estudiantes y padres posible. Estamos planeando una reunión más formal en septiembre de 2016, donde los padres se introducirán a la Sra. Bridget durante la primera reunión de la PTA. La Sra. Bridget ahora está empezando a conocer a los estudiantes como ella camina por el edificio y en las aulas Introducción a sí misma y respondiendo a las preguntas pueden tener nuestros alumnos.
El proceso de C-30 regido por regulaciones del rector Farina permite escuelas y entrevistar a posibles candidatos con un Comité de padres, maestros, líderes escolares, incluyendo Cathy Sarno nuestro actual Sub Directora y un representante del distrito 75 posiciones de liderazgo disponible. Me gustaría agradecer a los padres y el personal de la escuela que asistió con este importante proceso por donar su tiempo personal a entrevistar a los candidatos.
Por favor dar la Sra. Bridget bienvenida como ver su caminar los pasillos y participando en muchos de los finales de los eventos de año pasando.
