Because you devote so many hours to emails, phone calls, marches, vigils, interviews, demonstrations and driving to Albany on behalf of Jews for Racial and Economic Justice (and their Employers for Justice Network) to advocate for the Domestic Worker’s Bill of Rights, which on November 29, 2010, the law becomes effective. Signed into law on August 31, 2010, by Governor David Patterson, this legislation affords substantive labor protections to certain categories of domestic workers, making New York the first state in the nation to do so.
