Thoughts of Spring

If you are using lots of eggs this week, consider saving the egg cartons to use for starting some seeds. It’s the right time of year to start seedlings for transplanting into a larger pots or an outdoor garden in late-April or early-May, when the risk of frost has passed. We have started some herb and flower seeds for the school garden. So far we’ve planted some Sage, Lemon Balm, Hyssop, Queen Anne’s Lace, Stevia, Marigolds and Echinacea. Keep an eye out for more developments in our school garden when the kids return after Spring Break.
