Thursday, March 20th, is the first day of Spring! Let’s get this garden ready!

Construction Update: The raised bed materials that were ordered last week arrived on schedule; fabrication begins next week. Customized to maximize grow space at the sunny corner of 1st and Denton, the bed design includes a small seating and teaching area.The composite decking, shown here in the “saddle” color purchased, is made from recycled plastic shopping bags and recycled wood.

Next Meeting: The garden committee, made of parents, teachers and staff, will meet Friday, March 21^st at 8:30 a.m. in the cafeteria, to discuss fundraising strategies (we need money for soil and other essentials), as well as build day logistics and planting schedules.
