Dear Children’s School Families:
Ms. Cathy, Ms. Rosa and I would like to welcome you back to school. Hopefully this letter finds you safe and able to begin returning to your normal routines. Yes, Hurricane Sandy has left its mark and many families and friends have been affected, but as New Yorkers we always battle back and refuse to give up.
The Children’s School is a strong close-knit community and I want you to feel confident that staff is here to assist all the children and their families who may be in need of some additional support. When the children returned this morning, any questions or concerns they expressed were handled in a nurturing and caring way. Our goal is to help them readjust to school life and reassure them they can feel safe and secure in our building.
After conversation with the custodial staff, both the main and ASD buildings appear to have come through the storm with no damage and were deemed ready to function normally.
If there are any concerns or issues you think we should know about, please feel free to reach out to Ms. Roxanna (Parent Coordinator), your child’s teacher, or the administration.
Once again, welcome back.
Sincerely,
Arthur P. Mattia
Principal
