Starting Friday October 3rd, students can enjoy a bit of fresh basil on their slices.
On select Pizza Fridays, the Garden Committee will offer basil, oregano or other edibles harvested from the Inclusions Garden. Located on the corner of 1st and Denton Streets, the school garden is made possible by support from the PTA of PS 372 as well as Grow To Learn NYC: The Citywide Gardens Initiative. Along with organizations including The Mayor’s Fund to Advance NYC, GrowNYC and the DOE’s Office of SchoolFood, Grow to Learn supplies funding and assistance for schools to pursue garden-based learning programs. Thanks to these and other sponsors, and the school leadership and staff, the Inclusions Garden has already been incorporated into most grade curriculums and classrooms.
To learn more, visit the space or read the blog entries on Inclusions.org/garden. All PS 372 family members, teachers and staffers are welcome to join the committee or the online discussion at
