Please join us on Oct. 12 for our first (Halloween and Fall/Winter) Clothing Swap and Movie Night at PS 372! We will be showing Rio (rated G).
Halloween Costume and Fall/Winter Clothing Swap!
When: Friday Oct. 12, starting at 5:30PM, on stage in the gym. The clothing swap will overlap with movie night in the gym, and we ask that adults respect the movie and please be quiet while on stage.
What we’re looking for: Sizes: XS, 4T, 5T, 4/5; S, 6/8; M, 8/10; L, 10/12; XL, 14/16
NO: Baby, toddler or adult sizes; No shoes
Halloween costumes and corresponding accessories
NO: Random toys that could be used with costumes (i.e. swords, light sabers, random Pokemon stuffed animals)
Yes: Hoodies, jackets, winter coats, snow pants, long sleeve shirts, long sleeve dresses, pants and SNOW BOOTS
No: Shoes (snow boots in like new condition are the exception), short sleeve shirts, sundresses, tank tops, undershirts, underwear, socks, shorts
As tempting as it may be, please don’t think of this as an opportunity to purge your kid’s closet of every piece of clothing that no longer fits, no matter what condition they may be in (*we’ll let you know where you can do that below). Think of this an opportunity to score some gently used clothes in fantastic condition — but in order for that to happen, everyone needs to send in clothes that fit the criteria (no stains, no holes, no stretched out necks, etc. If you can’t get the stain out, the next person won’t be able to, either).
Each family can send in up to 10 items, starting on Wednesday, 10/10. We’ll be collecting items at the PTA meeting in the cafeteria on Wednesday morning, and on Thursday and Friday morning we’ll have collection bins by the courtyard entrance.
*What can you do with items that are out of season/stretched out/have holes/socks/underwear/shoes/etc.? Check out https://www.grownyc.org/clothing for a list of locations around the five boros that will accept clothing in all conditions.
