Studio Art Exploration Class 1
5 – 9 years old
Mondays 3:45 – 5:30pm
Eleven classes Total:

September 26th, October 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, November 14th, 21st, 28th, December 5th, 12th,19th
(I have eliminated some Mondays due to either school holiday or I will be out of town.)
Class limited to 8, $440 with a $15 materials fee
This class has a possible free pick up from the Children’s School (PS 372). My daughter is in K-3 and will
be taking my class.

My Classes are located in South Slope / Gowanus area (13th Street / 3rd Avenue) in my professional art studio allowing children the experience of working and learning to think like mature artists.  As a teaching artist, I foster creative development by emphasizing the importance of process and experimentation while finding ones own artistic voice.

Using high quality art materials children will explore the elements of art through observation and imagination while painting, drawing, collage, printmaking and/or mixed media sculpture (wood, clay, found objects).  Students will engage in an art library of classical and contemporary artists, reflect and share their own work with their peers and with their family and friends at a final exhibition.
