The 10th Annual Seed Swap & Celebration held at Old Stone House in nearby Washington Park was well worth the visit. We scored many free (and a few affordable) packets of untreated, organic seed, including corn, pole beans, edamame, herbs such as calendula, thyme, Italian Parsley as well as French bi-color Marigold, Forget-Me-Not, painted daisy, zinnia and other flowers. The best part? All of the varieties and brands were hand-picked by Old Stone House gardener Claudia Joseph for their local, environmental and historical significance.
