On Tuesday, January 5, Whole Foods Market is throwing a 5% community day to benefit GrowNYC! Once you’ve done your Greenmarket shopping, head anytime that day to any of Whole Foods Market’s 9 NYC locations to support GrowNYC’s Project Farmhouse – a new sustainability and education center right here in NYC-opening to the general public in summer 2016.
GrowNYC staff and volunteers will be at each location from 11am-3pm, educating shoppers about our work to provide all New Yorkers with a suite of tools and services they can use to improve quality of life and the environment, and Project Farmhouse.
After 45 years serving NYC, finally, GrowNYC will have a permanent, public home from which to serve all New Yorkers. Located in Union Square next to the Hyatt Hotel, Project Farmhouse will be a place to explore environmental issues through the lens of food, horticulture, arts, recycling, cooking, and more.
