On Friday May 1st, the garden committee will sell flowers, herbs and vegetable plants to raise awareness–and money–for the Inclusions School Garden.
This popular, healthy & happy sale kicks off Spring, builds community and even makes a little money. Its an inclusive fundraiser, items start @ $2. and edible plants can be purchased with cash, checks/ money orders, and, for edible plants bought in advance, with SNAP accounts.
This year the garden committee will organize and arrange for pre-ordered deliveries to go to the ASD on the same day, May 1st. In addition, we’ll collect orders in advance from any eligible community member who desires to buy edible plants using SNAP nutrition benefits. (*Order forms are due March 23rd.) If volunteers can help pack orders on Carroll Street Thursday April 30th, the afternoon before the sale, we’ll be able to deliver to everyone on May 1st and accommodate our entire community.
