Students entertained parents, friends, teachers, and classmates with holiday songs and performances for last month’s Winterfest celebration.
Younger grades performed in the morning, and older children performed during the second session.
The PS 372 school band kicked off each celebration. The school chorus performed several piecces, and there were multiple dance performances. The stage featured a dazzling backdrop designed by students at our ASD site. Parents, teachers, and staff were invited to come up and present a final song as a finale — always a crowd favorite.
The student council organized a collection of funds to benefit those affected by Puerto Rico, and raised $1,000 to donate to the Helping Hand charity. Third grade families ran a bake sale, and the PTA sold PS 372 gear. All in all, it was an uplifting event that reflected weeks of work by the entire school community, and it was a wonderful way to kick off the holiday break.
