By coincidence, our school carnival happens to fall on the same date as the 150 anniversary of a little known celebration called Juneteenth. Juneteenth (which falls on June 19th) is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. This Juneteenth, we invite everyone to wear red, one of the symbols of the celebration.
The PTA of the Children’s School is running it’s 2015-2016 Executive Board election beginning June 18th.
Please consider running for one of the leadership roles, which are very important to the success of the PTA and it’s ongoing ability to support the Children’s School and its community.

Volunteer on June 4th. This is Chancellor’s Day–a full day off from school. Many people come with their children who really enjoy helping out too.
