District 75, Citywide Programs: Autism Parent Symposium

District 75’s Office of Autism is pleased to announce it will be hosting a Symposium for parents with children on the Autism Spectrum from 10am to 2pm on Saturday, October 22nd, 2016. Parents will receive critical information and resources to help them provide the best education and lifetime outcomes for their children. Session topics will address the needs of all school age students with autism spectrum disorders. Speakers will be from the school district, community and other parents of students in District 75.

 

Topics will include:

  • Visual supports in the home
  • Transition to the world of adult services
  • Behavior supports in the home

In addition to workshops, this symposium will include a parent panel to help answer your questions.

Bring YOUR Questions about:

  • Moving my child to Less Restrictive Settings
  • How do I know what should be in a Quality IEP
  • Steps I can take to support my child’s Transition to Adulthood
