Wednesdays: 4 p.m. – 5 p.m. (ages 5-7, Center Slope location very close to PS 372)

 Saturdays: 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. (ages 3-5, South Slope location)

Little Mixers is a fun, interactive social skills group designed by a collaborative of Brooklyn-based special educators and parents. Our group incorporates a multi-sensory approach to learning social skills in a fun, interactive and supportive environment.  Each session will include a guided lesson and group discussion as well as a hands-on cooking activity. Weekly lessons and activities will be designed to facilitate friendship skills, social competence, decision-making, cooperative problem-solving, perspective-taking, emotional awareness and conversation skills. Our teachers and therapists have worked extensively in the field of education and child development and share a special interest in making social skills accessible to each child. As a team, we have collaborated to develop a social skills ‘curriculum’ designed to enhance your child’s social skill set. A handout with a review of target skills will be provided at the end of each session to promote practice of these skills throughout the week.
