Here is a message from Bluebell Studio which provides early childhood art programs (camps, classes, parent/child workshops) that foster exploration, discovery, curiosity and creativity in Brooklyn, NY. The owner of the studio, Isabel Cruz, has been working at The Children’s School …
This Wednesday, I’m beginning the October Halloween art workshop series at Hiho Batik* in Park Slope (184 5th Ave). The Bluebell Studio art projects are special in that kids create original art through exploring a rich variety of fine art materials and unexpected ones (recycled, natural and re-purposed etc). We have lots of fun! More info here: http://bluebellstudiony.com/about/
I’ve decided to offer a *special deal* for these Halloween workshops. The price is now $20/session or $30 for 2 sessions (or 2 siblings)! Just send me an email RSVPing for the sessions your child would like to attend and I’ll hold the spots. As the first session is this Wednesday (10/3), you can bring payment and the registration form with you on the day of the workshop. Workshops are designed for ages 4-7 (a little younger or a little older is ok!). All sessions are from 4-5pm and are drop-off.
October 3: Spooky Spiders and Webs
We’ll create colorful spooky spiders through painting and collage with a variety of fine art and recycled materials. We’ll make webs too!
October 10: Ghostly Garlands
We’ll create scary cut-outs of ghosts, bats, witches and more in order to create a Halloween garland to hang at home.
October 17: Pumpkin Patch
We’ll create pumpkin patches and many mini pumpkins using fine art, recycled and natural materials.
October 24: Sparkly Pumpkins
We’ll decorate real pumpkins (6-8 inch size) with paint, glitter, and other sparkly materials to create truly magnificent jack o’ lanterns.
I love Halloween and I know kids do too! This is going to be a super fun series so I hope your child can join! Please email with any questions and to RSVP.
Thanks and looking forward to seeing you soon!
