All rehearsals and performances take place Belinda Blum’s art studio on 13th Street and 3rd Ave

There will be a walking caravan from Children’s School that leaves together after pick up

Wally’s workshop encourages young artists to explore all aspects of theater. Participants will receive individualized attention as writers, directors and/or performers while being a part of an ensemble. Rehearsals are designed for collaborative play, confidence-building and the strengthening of communication skills. The workshop will culminate into a final performance of published and original scenes, songs and dances.
Serious fun for ages 8 to 15.

Eric Wallach (aka Wally) is a director, playwright and teaching artist who has been creating shows and teaching workshops for over twenty years from Alaska to Paris. His most recent shows include: FLIGHT18: the cosmic joyride, The Breasts of Tiresias: a surrealist musical and The Jack of Tarts. His approach to performance has been finely tuned by those he has worked closely with, most notably Joseph Chaikin, Penny Arcade and Jack O’Brien. He has taught thousands of students of all ages at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, in the New York City schools and beyond since 2001, presently with Theatre Development Fund.
