Notice What’s New On Denton Place? Rain Barrels!

The rain barrel installation was a success! The Garden Committee’s new storm water harvest system is in place. Two rain barrels with filters, diverters and overflow piping are set up on stands Saturday to collect rain water runoff for garden irrigation, as part of the Nature Works Everywhere grant from The Nature Conservancy.

We’re happy to report that the school garden has been awarded two new grants over the past two months! 1) Gearing Up Youth for National Environment Education Week $2500. for a “Caterpillar Cam” that will help students at both sites observe remotely insects in the garden.
