Please join our school team, “Kids Against Cancer: The Children’s School Team”, in this year’s 2nd annual Hope and Heroes Children’s Cancer Fund Walkathon on Saturday 5/21 in Riverside Park, Manhattan.  Last year, Kids Against Cancer raised over $5,000 and this year we hope to do the same!  The Children’s School has a special commitment to helping children with cancer after losing a beloved member of our school community, Sienna Cavallo, to a form of bone cancer in the summer of 2008.  Sienna was a champion for raising awareness and money to help children with cancer, and Hope and Heroes was the organization she and her family received great support from and have supported ever since.  If you cannot walk with us, please consider donating to a walker or simply to our team.  For more information, to join our team, or to donate, please go to: www.hopeandheroeswalk.org and follow the prompts.  Feel free to contact me at any time if you have any questions at: kmensing8@aol.com.  Together, we can make a difference in fighting children’s cancer!
