When: Saturday November 14th from 5:30PM – 7:30PM
Where: The Children’s School Recreation Center
We’re looking forward to seeing you this coming Saturday at our Roots and Community Celebration! Here are a few more details about the night.
Cultural booths: Explore African Roots, Australia, Britain, Chile, China, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Jewish Heritage, Louisiana, Palestine, The Philippines, and Peru—all without leaving our gym!
Entertainment: First-grade superstar Ms. Lela Ho kicks off our cultural extravaganza with a colorful Chinese Ribbon Dance. Multi-talented mom Ms. Madeline Solomon brings soaring klezmer sounds with our award-winning dance teacher, Ms. Sandi, leading traditional Jewish dances for families and children. Mr. Harris Eisenstadt (dad of first grade’s Owen) is set to knock our socks off with his Afro-Cuban Batá drumming group.
Roots and Community Needs Your Help!
Our brilliant booths can always use extra hands for decor, manning the activities and telling our kids about the culture. Or perhaps your heritage is missing from the bunch and you want to host a table? Contact the Roots & Community team to sign up: rootsandcommunity@ps372pta. org.
International potluck: Do you make a mean moussaka, delicious dahl or brilliant baba ghanoush? Sign up for our potluck feast and bring a big dish to share.
