Chef Holly + Chef George will be on site tomorrow, Tuesday July 11th, to serve up vegetable dishes inspired by the school garden for a Garden to Café tasting. On the menu:

  • Spinach, Arugula and Blueberry Salad with Thyme
  • Roasted Peaches with Maple Syrup
  • Fresh Apples

Garden to Cafe is an Office of SchoolFood Program available to PS 372 via our Grow To Learn garden grant. See photos and recipes from previous harvest celebrations here.

Staffers: Please note that you are more than welcome to use the garden as a living classroom this summer!  Our school garden, now in it’s 4th successful season, has lots going on: Concord grapes are growing on the vine, along with strawberries, cucumbers, basil, squash, oregano and other herbs. Carrots, tomatoes and ground cherries are on their way.  See the harvest calendar here to get an idea of what will be ready when. And you can always make tea or a flower infusion!

There is also a selection of multi-culti illustrated garden-related books in Yvettes office.
